Keen interest in ankle sprains, running injuries and all athletic injuries and painTom’s podiatry journey started with his family’s overwhelming love and passion for science, with a grandfather heading La Trobe’s biochemistry department and his dad being a high school science teacher. Tom developed his passion for science and human biology with early university studies in genetics and biology before transferring to podiatry. Tom began the move to podiatry so that he was able to have a positive impact daily while utilising his passion for science.Since graduating from La Trobe University, Tom found further interest in podiatry through a love for sport, and loves to combine sport and science in a podiatry setting. He has competed at an elite level for Australia’s cross-country ski team, taking part in high-level competitions such as the world junior championships in Lahti, Finland in 2019.Through his love for skiing and sport, Tom found a passion for human movement and biomechanics. Podiatry is Tom’s way of following this passion to help his patients reach their goals and full potential.
